ANSI X12/EDIFACT Equivalent Transactions:

EDI 830/DELFOR- Planning Schedule with Release Capability.
This EDI transaction set is usually sent from a manufacturer to one of their vendors/suppliers, and details anticipated needs for a specified period of time. Suppliers may use the information on this EDI document to automatically fulfill orders based on manufacturer needs.

EDI 850/ORDERS- Purchase Order
This EDI transaction is used for requesting goods. It contains information such as the details of shipping, product names, prices corresponding to each item and the number of quantities required along with the terms of payment

EDI 855/NO EDIFACT equivalent- Purchase Order Acknowledgement
It confirms the receipt of the purchase order EDI 850

EDI 856/DESADV- Advance Ship Notice
This transaction set specifies the contents of the shipment that is about to reach the trading partner’s facility. ASN notifies the trading partner about the barcode information, tracking details, date of delivery, and time of shipment.

EDI 810/INVOIC- Invoice
This transaction set represents an invoice that is sent after the order is fulfilled. It contains invoice details – invoice number and date, product details – item number and quantity.
