The Problem with Women and Motorcycles

Breaking a very long silence on this subject - you can thank Instagram for provoking this one. There is a problem with women and motorcycles, specifically with marketing and the portrayal of women in the world of motorcycles, and recently it's become a very big elephant in the room. Solving this is not just as easy as blaming the patriarchy, blaming other men, or lashing out at the brands that objectify the female figure for their own gain. There are a few different factors that are contributing to this issue with how women are seen and treated, and I do my best to discuss each one here.
